Festival Headliners

Lúnasa

Named for an ancient Celtic harvest festival, Lúnasa was formed in 1997 from members of some of the greatest Irish groups of the previous decade. From the start, the band’s complex arrangements and unique sound reshaped the boundaries of traditional music and energized audiences the world over. Having since sold over a quarter of a million records and performed over 2,000 shows, Lunasa has won multiple awards and become one of the most influential bands in the history of traditional music.

Solas

Solas is hailed by The Boston Globe as “the finest Celtic ensemble this country has ever produced” and The Wall Street Journal as “an Irish traditional band bearing all the marks of greatness.” Since forming in New York City in 1995, they have been a galvanizing element in the Irish music scene – a lightning rod of talent and inspiration that set new standards for musicianship, repertoire and intensity. Over the course of twelve critically acclaimed albums and endless international touring, Solas brought their love and respect for the traditions of Irish music, and their sense of melodic and instrumental adventure to the world. After an eight-year break, Solas is back and ready to celebrate their 30th Anniversary!

Téada

A traditional band with a truly worldwide reach, Téada has appeared as a frequent headliner at major music festivals throughout the world.. Highlights include a 30,000-capacity stadium concert in Brittany, along with performances at the Penang World Music Festival in Malaysia, Edmonton Folk Festival in Canada, Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe, and Rainforest World Music Festival in Borneo. May 2022 brought the release of the band’s new album on the Gael Linn label, featuring an exciting vocal collaboration with Hollywood actor & singer John C. Reilly in addition to the band’s customary reenergising of rare tunes from the tradition. Sadly, legendary Kerry singer and accordionist – Séamus Begley – Téada’s vocalist since 2012, passed away in January 2023, a great loss to Téada and the entire musical community.
