NEWS: Two boats collide at Sandy Beach leaving woman with life threatening injuries
-A collision between two boats at Sandy Beach in Lake Mead Wednesday, July 15, left one woman with injuries described as life threatening by a National Park Service statement.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. at the popular beach area near Callville Bay. According to witnesses one boat struck another, with three people on board include the injured woman, from behind. A man on the same vessel suffered minor injuries. The driver of the boat that allegedly struck the other was uninjured, according to the NPS statement.
The woman was transported to University Medical Center via Mercy Air with critical injuries. The incident is under investigation. | iH
