POLICE: Investigators treating death of man found at home Saturday as homicide
– A 67-year-old Henderson man was found dead on Saturday morning after a welfare check had been requested by relatives, according to city spokesperson Michelle French. Henderson Police detectives are investigating this death as a homicide.
A family member called Henderson Police for a welfare check when the man could not be reached by phone, according to French. Officers visited the man’s home at 2800 block of Hartwick Pines Drive in Anthem around 11 a.m. and found the man dead inside.
The cause of death remains unknown and investigators are in the beginning stages of the investigation, although the designation of the case as an apparent homicide did come from department officials.
The name will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending family notification.
