POLICE: Victim died in hospital of wounds unrelated to fire in Anthem home
– Henderson Police detectives are investigating the death of a man found in a residential structure fire late yesterday as a homicide.
Henderson firefighters responded to a 911 call at a single family residence in the 100 block of Holly Tree Court, near Anthem Parkway and Hampton Road, about 10:30 p.m., Dec.23, according to city spokesperson Kathleen Richards.
Firefighters discovered smoke coming from the residence and initiated an offensive attack. Once inside, firefighters found an unconscious man who was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital Siena Campus.
The man later died at the hospital with injuries unrelated to the fire, according to Richards.
The man’s car, a 2015 Toyota 4Runner with Nevada license plate 860-XFG is missing from the home. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
The victim’s name and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending cause of death determination and family notification.
