-The body of a man found floating in Cottonwood Cove at Lake Mohave Oct. 1 has been identified by the Clark County Coroner as Domingo Alva-Gonzalez, 27. Officials suspect he may not be the victim of an accidental drowning.

Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center received a call around 3:30 p.m. from a marina employee, reporting that the body was floating in the cove off the north swim beach, according to park media affairs officer Christie Vanover.

National Park Service rangers and agents responded to the scene and recovered Alva-Gobzalez’ remains.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department have taken over the investigation and have not released details, but ask the public’s help with information regarding the case.

The coroner has not yet determined the cause of death. | iH
